Industry Exchange Project 2016 | MarianaSantos©

The Product Development Project (PdP) is a program in partnership with Aalto University and Aalto Design Factory. It is aimed at undergraduate and / or master students of engineering, industrial design and communication and companies interested in the development of investment products or consumer goods.  However, the course is open to all students and there are participants from different areas such as cognitive science, anthropology, biology and so on.

Most briefings are provided and sponsored by industrial companies, who are looking for innovative cooperation with the next generation of product developers. Initially, the attention is directed to the creation of highly motivated interdisciplinary teams. A project usually includes the phases of planning, information research, concept creation, decision making and detailed computer-supported development. The stages of manufacturing design, assembly and testing are closely related to the most important learning experiences.
